Where do the puppies come from? Can I adopt one?

All the puppies that participate in Seacoast Puppy Yoga come from either Rescue organizations or vetted, ethical breeders.

There are no adoptions on site at the classes, but many of the rescue puppies will be available to adopt through the agency that brings them. We will happily help you start the process of adopting.

Are the puppies potty trained?

We wish we could promise they are, but the puppies are 8 to 16 weeks and there may be accidents. We have puppy handlers ready at every moment to clean up accidents with veterinary approved sanitizer.

What is class like?

Each class will have 30 minutes of gentle beginner yoga, or stretching. The puppies are free to run around and you can choose to participate in the instruction, or just hang out on your mat with the puppies.

The second half hour of class is just puppy play time. The puppies have free roam, and can choose to snuggle, or interact, or take a nap.

Will the puppies play with me?

We sure hope you get a lot of love and snuggles with the puppies. But the puppies have free will, and we won't force an interaction, so it is possible that you might not get as much physical interaction as you wish. Please enjoy watching and observing the puppies in all their cuteness, and enjoy whatever unfolds.

At Seacoast Puppy Yoga, the well-being of our puppies always comes first. We work only with responsible breeders and trusted rescue partners who provide excellent care and early nurturing. Classes are kept small and sessions are short so puppies don’t get tired or overwhelmed. They always have water, rest breaks, and a quiet space if they want time away from people. Puppies are never forced to interact—they can play, cuddle, explore, or nap at their own pace. Our goal is to create a safe, gentle, and happy experience that supports each puppy’s health and helps people connect with animals in a kind and respectful way.
